Sample Itinerary

Day 1 (Suggestion Only): Arrive Broome

Arrive in Broome and pick up your campervan before heading out to one of Broome's supermarkets to get supplies. After getting supplies and checking in / securing your spot at your chosen campground begin exploring Broome and its stunning coastline. Spend time relaxing and swiming at Cable Beach, Marvel at the sweeping white beaches, rich red outcrops and blazing turquoise water of Gantheaume Point or participate in some of the great activities including a visit to Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park and Animal Refuge.

Day 2 (Suggestion Only): Broome to Windjana Gorge or Bell Gorge

An early start as you begin your Kimberley adventure by heading out to Derby. After a quick stop to refuel and explore some of Derby's attractions including the Boab Prison Tree, continue your Kimberley adventure by exploring the famous gorges of the West Kimberley. Explore at your own pace and marvel at the natural landforms such as Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek (a 750m long cave through the ancient Devonian reef that is now above ground). Time Permitting continue on and explore Lennard River Gorge and Bell Gorge or spend the night at Windjana Gorge.

Day 3 (Suggestion Only): Windjana Gorge or Bell Gorge to Mornington

Depending on where you stayed last night this morning has you exploring Bell Gorge (arguably the West Kimberleys most spectacular gorge). After Swimming and exploring at Bell, drive into Mornington Wilderness Park. Mornington is owned and operated by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy and visitors are managed to limit the numbers The scenery and gorges are unforgettable. The facilities and staff make it a must visit destination. In addition to great campground facilites there is also a licenced bar.

Day 4 (Suggestion Only): Mornington Station - St John Gorge & Dimond Gorge

Spend the day visiting the beautiful gorges at Mornington. Your options today include exploring Dimond Gorge with its spectacular towering cliffs and awe inspiring colours. Sir John Gorge offers swimming in stunning surrounds and its remoteness is something to experience. Access Sir John Gorge is via a moderately easy walk but for enthusiastic and well prepared walkers you have the option of a 20km walk along the gorge itself. Beautiful sunsets are a highlight of Sir John Gorge.

Day 5 (Suggestion Only): Mornington to Gibb River Station or Manning Gorge

Today has you travelling back out of Mornington along the Gibb River Rd exploring the iconic Gorges that the Kimberley is famous for. Your options include Galvans Gorge, Adcock Gorge, Manning Gorge or Barnett River Gorge. Depending on your interests and fitness, walk swim and /or relax at one or more of these stunning geological landforms. Plan you day depending on the experience you want to have today and which of the attractions you will explore tomorrow on the way to El Questro.

Day 6 (Suggestion Only): Gibb River Station or Manning Gorge to El Questro via Home Valley

Depending on whether you stayed at Manning Gorge or Gibb River Station last night spend the morning exploring more of the Gorges of the West Kimberley before continuing your adventure along the Gibb River Road. Along the way consider exploring Bindaloo Falls and the other attraction at Home Valley Station before crossing the mighty Pentecost River. Take the opportunity to explore Emma Gorge before driving into El Questro and stay at the Black Cockatoo Campground or one of the 30 private campgrounds.

Day 7 (Suggestion Only): Around El Questro

Today has you exploring the spectacular attractions and things to do at El Questro Station. Choose to swim or explore Zebedee Springs, El Questro Gorge or Amalia Gorge or explore Explosion Gorge & Branco's Lookout via 4WD. El Questro offers a number of activities including heli-flights, fishing, gorge cruises and bushwalks. The narrow and shear cliff faces, clear rock pools and tropical rainforest on the property make it one of the highlights of a visit to the Kimberley.

Day 8 (Suggestion Only): El Questro to Kununurra or Lake Argyle

Spend the morning exploring more of El Questro before departing for Kununurra or Lake Argyle. Depending on your interests drive to Kununurra and explore Mirima National Park, Kellys Knob, Lake Kununurra and Ivanhoe Crossing. Alternatively drive to Lake Argyle and explore Australia's largest man made lake and the mighty Ord River .

Day 9 (Suggestion Only): Around Kununurra or Lake Argyle

A full day to relax and explore around Kununurra or Lake Argyle. Depending on where you stayed last night self discover or take a cruise of Lake Argyle &/or the Ord River or explore the spectacular scenery and bushwalks of Gurrandalng, Jinumum & Jarnem at Keep River National Park. If you stayed in Kununurra choose a day trip into the spectacular Mitchell Falls. or a day trip into the Argyle Diamond Mine (The world's only source of the beautiful and unique Pink diamonds). Day 10 (Suggestion Only): Kununurra to Bungle Bungles

Today has you driving down the Great Northern Highway into Purnululu National Park. The wild assortment of gorges, canyons and towering rocky domes at the Bungle Bungles are arguably Australia’s most spectacular natural formations. Its landscape, geology and cultural heritage have seen it given World Heritage status. The drive into the Park is an attraction in itself. Several open creek crossings and inspiring scenery make this a great 4WD drive. On arrival in the Bungles choose from Kurrajong & Walardi Camp (prebooking recommended / required).

Day 11 (Suggestion Only): Around Bungle Bungles

A full day to relax and explore the beauty of the Bungles that cannot be described in words. A short drive to the start of the walk to Cathedral Gorge gets you up close to the widely photographed beehive domes whilst the enormous size of the rocky outcrops will astound. Cathedral Gorge is simply stunning with its towering beehive cliff faces and cold pool of water fringed by a sandy beach. Later in the day you have the option to drive the full length of the Bungles embracing the beauty of the massive rocky outcrop. Echidna Chasm, Homestead Gorge & Mini Palms Gorge will give you a very different aspect on the Bungles . Echidna Chasm has jaw dropping beauty and you will marvel at its deep cleft and weird fluorescent lighting as you squeeze between 100 feet high sheer cliffs.

Day 12 (Suggestion Only): Bungle Bungles to Fitzroy Crossing or Halls Creek

A stunning morning doing one of more of the iconic walks around the Bungle Bungles before heading out of the park and driving down to Halls Creek. On arrival into Halls Creek around lunch time spend some time exploring its nearby attractions. Taking the opportunity to take a break at Halls Creeks allows you the opportunity to decide whether to drive the 300km to Fitzroy Crossing or visit the amazing site that is Wolfe Creek meteorite crater.

Day 13 (Suggestion Only): Wolfe Creek to Fitzroy Crossing or Fitzroy Crossing to Broome

Depending on where you stayed last night spend the morning visiting Geike Gorge and travel the 400km from Fitzroy Crossing to Broome arriving into Broome mid afternoon. Alternatively if you chose to explore and stay at Wolfe Creek you will spend the day driving to Fitzroy Crossing with the option to visit Mimbi Caves along the way.

Day 14 (Suggestion Only): Fitzroy Crossing to Broome or Around Broome

A full day unwinding and exploring the local highlights Broome has to offer before retuning your vehicle to the depot. Package price is based on vehicle being returned before 4pm.

Argyle Diamond Mine Tour

Day tour to the Argyle Diamond Mine ex Kununurra where you land for a ground tour of the worlds largest producer of diamonds. Reboard your plane back to Kununurra via Bungle Bungles. Cost: A$769 (Child <12 not allowed).

Mitchell Falls

Fly over the magestic waterfalls and wilderness to the Mitchell Plateau. Then a 4km walk to the falls where you will enjoy a picnic lunch, returning to the airstrip by helicopter. Then reboard your aircraft to return. Cost: A$995 C$955.

Bungles Flight or Day Tour

2.5hr flight ex Kununurra over the Bungles. Cost: A$399 C$399 (3-12yrs). Full day trip fly in land and be taken around in a 4WD to the best walks. Cost: A$805 C$730 (3-12yrs)

Horizontal Waterfalls

Take a spectacular seaplane flight to the Horizontal Falls & exhilarating fastboat ride through the falls. Then cruise the bays & creeks. Spend the night in private room on board a luxury houseboat. Departs 2.15pm returns 8.15am Cost: A$895pp.
