Charney River Station (formerly Beverley Springs Station) is a working cattle station that has common boundaries with Mt Hart, Mount House and Vacant Crown land. the pastoral lease is about 740,000 acres . the property offers homestead, chalets and self contained accommodation (please ring in advance). Trip into homestead from Gibb River Road is 43 kms and takes 45mins.

Things to See and Do

Activities include visiting the picturesque gorges on the property, bush walking, bird watching and safe swimming.

There are 3 gorges on the property and 2 are spring fed so year round clear fresh water. Called Paradise Pool, Dillie Gorge and Donkey Hole (they are all great don’t go by the names) Mud maps available from the homestead.

For birdwatcher 101 species were documented in a recent biological survey. In addition to cattle the property abounds with kangaroos and wallabies.

A drive to Old Beverley Springs can combine a step back in time exploring the original homestead with an opportunity to cool off in the nearby waterway.

The properties northern boundary is defined by Charnley River. This marks the beginning of the very difficult track to Walcott Inlet. If you are a hard core 4WD enthusiast and planning go up to Walcott Inlet recent feedback is better to go though Mount Elizabeth
